I will boycott Fisher Price from this point forward. Back on the first day of the recall, you know the one that consisted of the lead paint, I called in about a Diego house that we had bought Gavin for his birthday. Now, the house was not on the recall list, but everything else in that line was. I voiced my concerns, and the customer relations specialist told me that it was not a problem, to send back the Diego house and they would send Gavin a voucher for the amount so he could simply get something else. Well, after waiting over 6 weeks, I finally call them to see where the voucher is. The lady then tells me that it was not on the recall list and it was being sent back to us. What the hell! She then goes on to state that it is not in the “notes” where I called in and was told that they would accept it back. She then tells me that someone would have to call me back on Monday, although there was nothing more they could really do. I tell you this, I will be listing that sh*t on Ebay once it hits my door. From now on I will stick to buying my children’s toys from a different manufacturer. I mean, come on, how did millions of lead containing toys just slip past quality control? Who knows what they will recall next, maybe my six month old daughters jumperoo? Maybe her swing? If she did not love those two things so much I would list them as well, and purchase Graco instead. I do feel better since I was able to just scream at her and let all of my anger out. What terrible customer service! I mean, they even sent me a pre-paid label via email to send it back with. I asked her why would they do that if it was not an authorized return, and she said anyone can request a return label. Yeah right. Terrible! Our children deserve better quality than LEAD PAINT. I personally hope they get fined, and loose customers..which will lead to the end of Fisher Price, or maybe someone that knows what they are doing will buy the company out and change things!

Buuuuuhhh-bye Nissan Quest.

So, Eric and I have decided after only three months that we do not want to keep the mini van. I hate to disappoint you. After thinking it over the van is just not for us. They do have a bit more room, but not enough to make it worth it. We read reviews before we bought it that stated the gas mileage to be somewhere around 18 city and 26 highway, but this is not the case. We usually are averaging 12-14 mpg in the “city”. Boo! Not good enough Nissan, come on! After looking at thousands of vehicles on Carmax.com , I have found the one. A beautiful Honda Accord with chrome wheels and a sunroof. I am in love. The only thing that we will need to do is tint the windows, which is not an issue. I just hope we can snag it before someone else does! It is in Illinois, so we will have to have it transfered in. I think it will take 2 weeks to get it here, but I can wait! I am super excited!!!

Woo-hoo!
Going to work….it is cold and wet outside…blah.

So we finally took the dive, and Laura got her ears pierced!! She only cried for about 2 minutes or so. I only have a before picture for now, as I was too busy seeing if she was o.k. to get an after picture. As soon as she wakes from her nap I will get some pics of her cute little earrings! She did so good! So did Eric, lol!
Laura and Eric waiting to get her ears pierced!
**Taken with my Razr, not sure why Eric’s face is blurry. Isn’t she cute in her overalls?!?
So, Gavin went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. He had fun, except for getting close to the stage, that was a train wreck. He gets so nervous he shakes! I am just happy that he attempted to get close to the stage! I forgot my camera, so these pictures from my phone will have to do!

The lunch at Chuck E Cheese wore Laura out!

Leave a comment or Laura will eat your face!!!!
Halloween is just around the corner. Have I mentioned how happy that makes me? Gavin and I are pulling out all of the Halloween decor today!

Our apartment has really ugly cabinets, in my opinion. I think adding some nice cabinet hardware might help them look a bit better. Our apartment is due to be remodeled, but if we wanted to move into one that has already been remodeled our rent would jump by one hundred dollars, which to me is not worth it at all! Just another reason I look forward to getting a house in March!
Office Thursday…September 27th.

So Amelia and I were looking at rings the other day at work. She found a really pretty ring that I think her boyfriend is going to get her. I decided that it is time for me to purchase some new jewelry! I found a mystic topaz ring a few months back that was really cute! It was right under one hundred dollars, so it was not terribly expensive or anything! I hope it is still there when I go back to get it!
So, Gavin loved the black Spiderman costume that we got him, so we went back and got him the “original” Spiderman costume yesterday. He loves it as well. We had to run to about a million different places so Eric could find some shoes, and Gavin decided to wear his costume, and who were we to stop him? I must say he was a hit with all of the smaller kids. He got a lot of attention. It was pretty funny. We heard lots of “Hey! It is Spiderman!”. Gavin is goofy!

Well, it is a known fact that Gavin loves Spiderman. After looking around in the kids bedding section the other day I decided that he needs some new Spiderman decor for his room. He has mostly decor from the movie “Cars”. Almost everything we bought him for Christmas last year had Lighting McQueen on it somewhere. He is due to start school within the next week, so we might go this week and let him pick out a few new things for his room.
I am so excited! Laura finally has grown enough hair that hair bows will now latch on without her having to wear a headband! We went out yesterday and bought her tons of cute little bows. She looks so cute! I cannot wait for little pig-tails!

I have been recently been thinking about getting a radar detector. We have a Nissan Quest, which Eric calls the “gold bullet”, and the speedometer is the middle of the console, making it hard for me to see how fast I am going. Sometimes I have no clue that I am speeding! A radar detector would be a good item to have!

So, after reading up on fasting, and attempting to start a 30 day fast, I learned that our colon holds the key to our health. During a fast you are recommended to do a colon cleanse. I did a little research and found that with a bad diet you can build up a plaque on your colon walls, thus creating a stress on your colon, which causes stress on your body. Once you can get rid of that plaque your colon has an easier time, which reduces stress on your body, which creates a healthier you!
