Desperate Housewives next Sunday!
New episode next Sunday!!! So excited!! At first I thought the writers strike was over, but I am sad to say that it isn’t.
No commentsGetting into everything.
So Laura has mastered crawling. She is into almost everything. We have these cables running behind the curtain that go to the television, and she cannot keep her hands off of them. She also loves getting into a basket I have near the couch. She knows what “no” means, and she will stop and sit down and just look at you. But, she goes back to getting into stuff again. I must say that she wears me out! I have to run over and tell her no, or pull her away from something every few minutes. She does love the Christmas presents that Eric and I got her, she has been playing with them non stop since Christmas.
1 commentA week long headache.
So here in the past few weeks I have been getting headache after headache. Some which turn into a migraine. I don’t know what is going on. It has started since I started back smoking (stupid me). I never had headaches like this when I used to smoke, so I am going to say for now that it is allergies. I stopped taking my medicine, because I lost my insurance, and I simply cannot afford the medicine. If this keeps up it will force me to quit smoking again, which would be good. I want to quit already, but just can’t do it. I threw away all of the cigarettes in the house yesterday afternoon when I was cleaning, and it felt good! But, as of last night when Eric was getting off from work, I called him to get him to stop and purchase some. I must quit before we move!
No commentsThis is the best!
So, I ordered some sugar scrub on Ebay. Last night when I came home and ran to the mailbox like a child on Christmas, I discovered that it had not been delivered. Instead there was a little orange card that stated: “Leaking Package. Must be picked up at Post Office.” I am assuming that they are going to make me sign something, or that they are going to recommend I refuse the package. As soon as I got this I emailed the seller on Ebay. He proceeds to tell me that was pretty much my fault for not purchasing the optional insurance, although that would not have helped me seeing that it was leaking from the inside, and it wasn’t damaged in shipping. They are telling me that it was “factory sealed”, and it wasn’t leaking when they packaged it. Even if I had purchased insurance the Post Office couldn’t do anything, because it is not fault of their own. It is the sellers fault for not properly packing the item.
Anyways, not sure why I am going on and on about this, I am just still upset. As of last night I remembered when my sister owned a salon, and carried this one type of salt scrub, and it was by far the best smelling stuff on earth, and it made my skin feel so good during the winter. I sat here forever before I could remember the brand name. I remember it being expensive, but I couldn’t remember the name!
I finally remembered the name of the product, but then I realized that it cost 28.00 just for the scrub, so here I go….back to Ebay. I did find it on Ebay for 19.99, and I just hope that it gets here still in its container! Body scrub with essential oils can cost a ton, that is why I expect it to NOT be leaking out all over the package when it arrives.

No, yellow isn’t what I picked out!
So I received my cupcake courier today. Needless to say it wasn’t what I ordered. As I was filled with with joy, opening the box, my joy turned to anger when I saw that it was yellow, and broken. I ordered a pink one, and when it comes to spending forty dollars on something that is plastic, it better be the color I ordered, and it better not be broken! I was so upset! And then I go to check the mail and see that the post office couldn’t deliver my sugar scrub because the package was “leaking”, so now I will have to fight with the person I bought it from on Ebay, and hopefully get my money back. I would rather have the awaken salt scrub instead anyways. So much for all of my rambling, I better just take my nutritional supplements and go to bed!
No commentsToo funny.
The Sarah Silverman show is awesome! I don’t think we have laughed this much in a long time! In no way is this show boring, getting a term life insurance quote is! I am glad Christmas has passed, but I am kind of sad that it is gone. I love getting fun things for my kids to enjoy! I think Gavin had an awesome Christmas, even though his little mp3 player is defective. Hopefully the stores will get them back in stock and I can get a replacement for him to enjoy, as of right now he is using mine!
No commentsBest purchase ever.
We didn’t know she would dance to it. LOL!
4 commentsPoor Turkey. Rest in peace.
So, I finally cooked my first turkey today! I must say that it tasted very good. It was so juicy that I couldn’t get slices to stay together. I think I did well for my first turkey. Cooking a turkey is nerve wrecking! You have to make sure it is thawed out, but you have to do it a certain way. Then you have to make sure it is cooked just right, or you could get sick. You have to make sure to keep it moist or it will dry out. Then you have to get skilled at carving it, so that you don’t waste any (we wasted a lot). I washed my hands more than 50 times today. Turkeys are gross. That is all I can say. I felt so bad for the little guy. Next year I will be cooking a ham. I ate so much today, I feel like I need to take some ephedra diet pills!
The holiday are a bit stressful, but I am thankful that I had today to spend with my family. I think everyone had a great Christmas!
1 comment28 Miles Per Gallon.
So, yes, it is final. We have finally picked the vehicle that will replace our Nissan Quest. The Nissan Quest that has been averaging 16 mpg. We have decided on a 2004 Toyota Corolla. It has all the options that we agreed were important. Best of all it averages 28 mpg, and not only will we save on gas and insurance, our car note will drop about 60 dollars. I am excited! We have to transfer it in from Florida, which is going to take 30 days! We couldn’t find one around here that was such a deal as this one. Can you believe that it is going to take 30 days? Oh, well. It will just be great when it finally gets here. Look at the freaking huge sunroof! = )
Sunroof + keyless entry + remote start = 1 Happy Jen =o)

Letter from Santa.
So Gavin received his letter from the one and only Santa today! Even though he cannot read he knew what it was right away! He keeps carrying it around with him, “reading” it to me over and over again. I am glad that it came today!

Good deals.
Right now is the best time to find some good deals on the internet. There are still a few days till Christmas, and there is still a few hours to shop online! I have been checking out almost every site I can think of to find some good deals. I have stumbled upon a site to find a good deal on a gold anklet, I would get one, but I never really wear shorts or anything. Most of my time I am in medical scrubs. I have been shopping on Ebay though, almost all this week!
No commentsThis just in….
I FINALLY ordered a CupcakeCourier! Yippy! I have wanted one of these forever! I finally found them for a reasonable cost at Amazon, but they did not have them in stock. With a little more research I finally found them at HSN.com. They were in stock and I ordered one! It should be shipping out today! I ended up ordering pink, which I hope was the right decision, as the blue is very cute! (Yes, I am the biggest dork that ever lived…and I am ok with that.) There is this book on Amazon that I really want, it has somewhere around 100 cupcake recipes..but that can wait until later!
