Yes! Finally!

Posted by Jen

I have finally found a lady on Ebay that will make me a cover for my Hamilton Beach® stand mixer! All of the covers are made to fit the stupid KitchenAid® stand mixers, but this lady is going to make one especially for mine, and she isn’t going to charge extra like all of the others. I mean, all that needs to be done is add an inch here and there, it isn’t like they would have to add ten dollars worth of material. This seller is super nice too! And she is going to embroider it for free! How special…lol.

I am happy!!! I have been looking now for over a week! This mixer means a lot to me and I want to keep it looking nice! I finally got the replacement in yesterday, even though I called them yesterday morning and they called the warehouse and the warehouse told them it was still sitting there and was being prepared to be shipped. Maybe they will send me two! Just kidding, I would have to send it back! I wish I could get the whole Eclectrics® line. I want the toaster for sure, and the coffee maker, and the drink mixer , but together that would run me about three hundred dollars, which I don’t have! Maybe at tax return time Eric will surprise me with them! LOL! Love you Eric….. wink, wink.

A little bit stressed out today……

Posted by Jen

Laura has been crying non-stop. Gavin seems bored, so he keeps just walking back and forth between the living room and his room. The house is in need of a cleaning, and laundry needs to be done. It is a funky day out, which brings my mood down even more. I bought a blender off of Ebay, which I was really excited about receiving, and then I get an email last night that states that they did not have it in stock, and that the sale was void! I reported them to Ebay, and then they proceeded to leave me negative feedback! What jerks! Well hopefully I will get the house cleaned up and the laundry wrapped up, and I will feel better. Off to feed Laura!

Hamilton Beach® rocks!

Posted by Jen

Who would have ever thought that I would win a totally awesome Hamilton Beach® stand mixer? I did! This beast of a machine rocks! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! This Eclectrics® Mixer is so powerful! It is 400 watts strong, so even a batch of 9 dozen cookies couldn’t slow this thing down! It arrived with three wonderful attachments which include a flat beater, dough book and wire whisk for versatile mixing! Also included was a huge 4.5 qt. stainless steel bowl with a handle that locks into place. My favorite feature is the 2 piece pouring and splatter shield that is included. I absolutely hate when I make mashed potatoes and they splatter all over my kitchen! They even splatter all over me! With this shield I will not have to worry about it again!

Gavin was even very impressed with the Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer! And he is four years old! Gavin is autistic and hates loud noises, that is why I am pleased that this has quiet operation. When I turn this on it doesn’t scare him at all! Now I can bake for him all of the time! I love that I can start something up, and not have my hands tied! It is so nice! I am not sure how I lived without the Hamilton Beach® Mixer!

Christmas is almost here!

Posted by Jen

How awesome is it that Christmas will be here in less than two weeks! Both of my kids are so excited! The presents are all under the tree! I just purchased an advent house to help Gavin understand how many days there are till Christmas, as it is killing him to see the presents just sitting there! I bought some candles last night that smell like a real living Christmas tree, and they are fabulous by the way! I only need to purchase one more gift, and that is for Gavin to take to school so that they can exchange gifts!

It is time for a NEW MATTRESS!

Posted by Jen

So, we were looking into buying a new mattress. Eric and I were going to wait until early next year, but my back can’t take another night on our old spring mattress. We have always wanted to get a memory foam mattress, but we could never afford one. If you check out bedinabox.com you will find that they aren’t that expensive anymore! This place has great prices, and free shipping! They offer a ten year warranty, which is completely awesome, considering that Eric and I did not get any type of warranty on the mattress we currently have! It is time to treat yourself! Why just have a memory foam topper when you can get the complete mattress!

Too sleepy to eat cereal.

Posted by Jen

So, when Gavin sat down to eat breakfast this morning, he told me he was cold so I got him a blanket. Within five minutes he was back to sleep. Poor baby.

Less than two weeks till Christmas!!

Posted by Jen

So there are just 13 days till Christmas, crazy right? I am waiting on one of Gavin’s gifts to get here, and one of the other gifts for Laura. Kelley’s other gift arrived yesterday. I had to get a gift for one of the girls at work, since we draw names, and I thought about getting her a Dodge Charger accessory but I ended up getting her some perfume she wanted. Gavin is so excited this year, it is awesome. I think Laura will be excited on Christmas morning. I bet she will enjoy watching Gavin open up all his gifts, and I am sure he will be more than happy to help her open her gifts!

And…Laura was slightly freaked out.

Posted by Jen

Gavin told him that he loved him. Laura was freaked out. Eric thought Santa looked “ghetto”. I was afraid my purse was going to be snatched. It was a good time! I guess I could have dressed them in something more “festive”. Oh-well.

I honestly can say….

Posted by Jen

I can honestly say that I would like to see Tool again. The last concert wasn’t anything near what I expected from them, but it was still live. I just cannot get enough of them lately. I have listened to them for close to ten years, and it isn’t getting old. I can remember driving around in my 1989 Toyota Camry and jamming to my Opiate cassette tape, over and over again. I can’t believe I had it on a cassette tape, that is very funny. I can still listen to that album over and over. It is so much like art to me. I am listening to 10,000 days right now, which is very good…all the way through, and then back, and then all over again. It isn’t just as simple as music. It is almost magical, and that is why I love it. I would like to see them in concert again, I am just not sure when they will be back, or if they will even tour again. I really hope they do, I am just really pleased to see that they are still together. So many bands from back in the day are no longer producing music.

Christmas gifts.

Posted by Jen

I still haven’t bought Eric anything for Christmas yet, because I am saving my favorite person for last, of course! I thought about getting him a super nice coffee maker or an espresso machine but I am not sure that is what he would like to have. I have finished shopping for everyone else though! I had all the gifts knocked out early this year. I have a few things coming in from Ebay, and one from Amazon, but other than that, the rest are wrapped and are under the tree!

Wii.

Posted by Jen

So this whole past week I have been thinking about “camping” out again to score another Nintendo Wii, but I am just not sure that I am up to the task. Laura hasn’t been sleeping well, and I don’t want Eric to have to get up in the middle of the night with her. I am not sure how cold it is outside, but I know I will have to get there around midnight or so. I can’t imagine sitting there for 8 hours, and them not having any either. I do need to pick up a HDMI cable while I am out anyways, for when we get our LCD television. I can’t think of anything else I would need. The thrill of the hunt is the best though. I might just do it, depends on what Eric wants me to do.

It is okay to be naked…..

Posted by Jen

So if you watch Keeping up with the Kardashians I am sure that you watched the episode where she poses for Playboy. Now, she is all on the fence about getting naked for a camera, but she ends up saying that as long as she has on some diamonds and a pearl necklace that she will do it. Is she serious? Yes, she was. And wasn’t it funny how her mother was in the back taking pictures too? I would never let my daughter pose nude, and I sure as hell wouldn’t be in the back snapping my own pictures!

Is it normal?

Posted by Jen

Is it normal for everyone to take out a burial policy? I know that it is good to have life insurance, if you have a family, in case something awful happens, but is it necessary to have both? I am so confused about the whole thing. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have both. The whole issue of dying frightens me, so I would rather not “plan” it out.

Gingerbread time!

Posted by Jen

We all got together last night and made a gingerbread train. It was fun. Gavin enjoyed it the most. Eric ate most of the candy that was intended for decoration. I caught Gavin today picking candy off of the train, and then acting like he had no idea what he was doing. It ended up looking pretty cute!
