Skin issues.

Posted by Jen

I have known tons of people that have psoriasis. When I was little, my parents thought I had it! I don’t have it, and could never imagine how bad it is for someone that does suffer with it. I am just glad that there is psoriasis treatment available for those people. Some people that suffer with this skin disorder struggle every day with it. I knew one girl that had it on her scalp, and it drove her crazy!

Sleep like a baby!

Posted by Jen

Eric and I love our memory foam mattress! I can’t believe how comfortable it is! I know now that we could never sleep like this again if something were to ever happen to our mattress! We were thinking about platform beds right before our mattress arrived, but we ended up getting a traditional bed, which I really like. I wanted our room to have an “antique” feeling, but without having to shell out the money for real antique furniture!

Health.

Posted by Jen

Neither Eric nor myself have health insurance. It sucks pretty bad. We don’t qualify for medicare advantage, or anything like that. Eric’s place of employment offers it, but we choose to pay rent instead of paying well over 500 a month on health insurance. We could never afford to pay that! And the part that cracks me up is that we would have to meet some crazy deductible of like 3 thousand dollars before they would cover anything at all. I just hope that neither one of us ever need to admitted into the hospital!

I don’t know if I could stand it.

Posted by Jen

We have been thinking about letting the apartments renovate our apartment. We would get a whole new kitchen, new counter tops, new cabinets, new appliances, and for the bathroom we would get a new toilet, new bathroom vanities, and new floors. Our rent would go up, by about 75 dollars. It is just hard to decide if it is worth it. I would love to have everything updated, but it does work fine the way it is. We would have a built in microwave, which would clear up some space on our counter tops. I just can’t decide. It might be a pain having them in our apartment for a couple of weeks, and it would be a pain for everything to be torn up, etc. I will update on what we do. I might just give you guys some before and after pics if we do it! And maybe some in-between pictures!

Fly high!

Posted by Jen

Gavin loves airplanes, and Eric and I are scared to death to get on one! I would love for Gavin to get the experience to ride on one though. One day I just might look up some cheap flights, and maybe fly a short distance with him. Maybe just a trip to Georgia, I might even be able to fly with him to Florida, if I take something to calm my nerves! Gavin would enjoy going to Disney World, maybe one day we can take him. Hell, I would even love to go again! It has been years, and I don’t think you are ever to old to enjoy Disney World!

I am so thrilled that we are finally getting an LCD to hang on the bedroom wall! I would LOVE to have a television in the bedroom. I just wish I could use fast air tools to hang the sucker up! I am so thankful that my boss has a whole tool kit that I can borrow. We borrowed it to hang our living room television, and it helped so much! I am lucky that he is nice enough to let me borrow it! I hope I get to go tonight and purchase it! How fun! I can’t wait!

Help me please.

I have been so lazy all day long. I am always so tired, probably because of my lack of iron, who knows. I need to be on iron pills, but I just hate taking medicine. I used to joke and say that I had fibromyalgia, which I found out is a very serious disease, and shouldn’t be joked about, at all. I have gone to the doctor, and he suggested it was because of my blood pressure running a bit high, but I have now been on blood pressure medicine for two months, and I still feel bad all of the time. I just want to have more energy! I need to get off of this computer and clean the house! Now!

Having a puppy is not all fun.

Posted by Jen

If it wasn’t hard enough trying to take care of these kids of ours, we had to go out and get a puppy! I feel like I am going crazy! I take her to work with me, on the 4 days that I work in the week, and then I am home with her on my off days. I never feel like I get a break from her. She is starting to give me attitude, which is getting old, fast. Today when I took her out, she pulled so hard that she jerked the leash right out of my hand, and them proceeded to run from me. So I was outside, running after her, and keep in mind that the parking lot is just about 20 feet away from our apartment. I finally catch her, and she decides it is sniff time, not potty time. So we spend the next 10 minutes with her sniffing everything she can. I finally get fed up with her, and I bring her back in so I can get Gavin ready for school, so I stick her in the kitchen so that she can eat. After getting him ready I grab her so we can take him out to the bus. She decided to be a brat again, by trying to pull away from me while I am trying to help him onto the bus. Needless to say she is grounded right now. I don’t know when this attitude started, but I don’t like it at all. She better watch it, or I will go buy a class A motorhome, and drive right out of here, without her!

Shopping.

I still cannot wait to go and purchase some patio furniture. It is bugging me to death. I really cannot stand to see our porch empty. There is nothing out there, no plants, nothing. I was at the store the other day and they had the most beautiful ferns on sale. I wanted to get some and hang them on the porch, but I had the kids with me, and so I had no place in the buggy to put them. I plan to go and get some, but by the time I do I am sure they will be sold out. That is how things alway happen for me!

Off to school.

Posted by Jen

It seems it gets harder for me to get up in time in the morning now to get Gavin off to school without rushing. It is my day off, I just want to sleep in! I get up at 7:30 and rush to get Gavin to wake up, while Naobi (the dog) is crying to go outside. Then Laura wakes up, crying for a bottle and a changing. I get Laura up and changed, and make her a bottle, as I am screaming for Gavin to get up. Gavin gets up and is whining for cereal. I pour his cereal, and then grab Naobi to take her out to potty. By this time it is already 8, and his bus comes at 8:15. So I run back inside, gate Naobi in the kitchen so that she can eat her breakfast, and then I dress Gavin, brush his teeth, put his medical id bracelet on him (which I forget ALL the time, like a bad parent), and then I almost always just then remember that I have not made his lunch. After rushing to make his lunch we throw on his shoes, grab Naobi, and run outside for the bus. By the time I come back in, I am ready for a nap!

Totaled.

Posted by Jen

My friend, Sarah, was in an accident back in February. She was side swiped by a tractor trailer. It totaled out her car, which she had just put a new engine in from another accident, that one too was no fault of her own. She just bought a new car, but I think tractor trailer drivers and the companys that they work for should have more consequences than they do. They should have to pay fines, and take driving courses before they can be allowed on the road again. I hope she will end up hiring a truck accident lawyer. Truck drivers, not all of them, but most think that they own the roads. I am terrified to drive on the interstate with my kids in the car, because of these trucks. I felt much safer when we had the mini van, but I hate driving in this tiny Corolla on the interstate. It is horrible! Not even just on the interstate, but I have seen many tractor trailers fly down our main street. The government needs to step up.

I hope so.

My parents are moving to the farm that my grandmother owns. They have talked about getting some horses, and building a barn and all of that good stuff, and I really hope they end up doing it. I love horseback riding. It is so relaxing. If they do, Eric and I will have to look into building a house out there as well! The kids would love feeding the horses and helping to take care of them! Then we can go out and get some equestrian clothing! How fun!
