I feel like there was something I needed to do today, besides cleaning the kitchen up, but I can’t think of what it is! It kills me to think there is something that I am forgetting to do!

Laura went for a check up yesterday with her doctor. It looks like our little girl might be heading down the same road as her brother. She is being referred for testing out at Vanderbilt as well. Autism is scary, but we are blessed that they are strong little kids. Both of them can make it through anything! I am just glad that Laura will be getting tested now, and will start receiving help now. Gavin didn’t start receiving help until around this time last year, and it has really helped him. Hopefully she doesn’t have Autism, but we are prepared for them to say she does.

Naobi is doing great! She is getting big, now up to around 18lbs. She is going to be a pretty girl once her adult coat comes in! The only thing that she is bad about is her barking. Eric and I have discussed getting her a bark collar, but I am just not sure that I will be able to put one on her! Ha! But, she really needs one. She barks at everything that moves.

Gavin’s birthday is in less than a month. I wanted to get him something to play with this summer, something that he can share with Laura. I ended up deciding on a play kitchen, but of course the one I would like to get them costs close to 200 dollars. I made the mistake of asking him if that would be a good birthday gift, and he hasn’t stopped talking about it yet. He woke me up this morning by saying, “Mom! It’s my birthday today!”. He expected me to get up and drive him to ToysRUs. Poor kid has to wait 3 more weeks, but I am likely (very likely) to break down and buy it for him early. I am a sucker for the sad face.

Look what I got! Sweeeeet! I love it! Now I can watch my shows while I cook! I have been wanting one of these for so long!

So the kids and I went to the mall today, without Eric. It actually went pretty smoothly. I thought Gavin would give me problems, but it was actually Laura that cried the whole time. I bought Gavin some flip flops, which are super cute. I went to look for a new purse, because Eric thinks mine looks “grandma-ish”, but the only one I could find that I liked was around 67 dollars, and I just couldn’t spend that much on a purse. We just spent time walking around, we looked at some pretty Diamond Jewelry, and then went and looked again at purses. We left there and went to Target, where I purchased Eric some new sunglasses, of which he hated, of course!

So, we haven’t been home much lately, as we are too busy stimulating the economy! Honestly, I have just been crazy busy lately! But as of right now, things couldn’t be better! I have been working out, and I love it! My body aches at this moment, but it is a “good” ache. The ache lets me know that whatever I am doing is working. My body will thank me later! Everyone at the gym seems really nice. I am not the only “newbie” which is extremely nice. I didn’t join the gym that I had originally had interest in, and although it cost me close to $100 to join, and about $40 a month, it is worth it to me! Losing the rest of this “baby weight” is priceless in my eyes! By the way, do any of you have travel health insurance? What exactly is it?

We recently bought an LCD to hang on the wall in our living room. I was thinking with our tax refund we could get another to hang on the wall in the bedroom, but I am not sure it is a wise investment, although I really want one! We bought a Vizio, and we love it. Our whole family loves electronics, and I am not sure how people used to live without them! We are thinking about getting Gavin some kind of video game console, but we aren’t sure which one. Nothing too expensive though, because he is sure to break it!

I would like to purchase a new printer for our home. There are so many different printers on the market right now, which one is the best? It is truly hard to know, because you can’t test them before you buy them, well at least not in any of the stores that are in our area. Our printer isn’t terrible, it just decides to get paper jams, when there isn’t even any paper in it. Must be “ghost” paper! It is a little frustrating at times I must admit. Eric usually takes it and cleans it, and it fixes the issue for a while.

The past couple of weeks have been quite stressful. I thought it was causing me to age in a rapid manner, and I almost thought I was going to have to go out and find some best anti wrinkle cream! Just kidding! No, in all seriousness, work has been stressful, but it was stressful over silly things. Everyone has stressful times at work, don’t we? And it doesn’t help that I was sick all last week. It almost felt like I was getting the flu. I finally feel 100% that, thank goodness!

So I am aware that the economy isn’t doing very well right now, and there are ones that say it isn’t going to get any better, even with this tax refund heading everyones way. I say that things will get better. And hey President Bush, things might get better if you would simply do something about the oil situation! But, anyways, I feel bad for people that are loosing their houses, and for those that need credit card debt relief. Things are getting out of hand. Did you know there are rumors about a 2nd Stimulus package? For Eric and myself, we are going to put most of it back into the economy. I think most Americans should atleast try to help by purchasing something with the money. Yes, I know that there are bills that need to be paid, and I know that people are so worried about the economy that they are planning to put their refund in their bank and save it, but how will that help fix the problem. Go buy yourself something nice, maybe something that you need for your house, or car? Yes, put some away for a rainy day, but spend some of it!

What about going and staying in a Branson condo? I have never had the chance to visit Branson, and they have so many things to offer. And if we rented a condo to stay in there would be plenty of rooms for our two little ones to run and scream their little heads off! Ha! They like to run around like crazy animals!

We might just take a few days to ourselves. We have not had a vacation in years. And I mean about 5 years. We even considered being in the hospital when I had Laura a mini vacation away from the normal activities. Even if we just drive to the mountains or something, it would be a real good getaway for us. If Eric can get off of work in a couple of weeks, just for the weekend, we might just go! I don’t think we need travel insurance just to go to the mountains, right?

So I went and worked out last night at the gym! Yes, the gym! I joined yesterday! So exciting! I just did a few things, I ran/walked 2 miles, and I biked for 1/2 mile, then I did 20 reps on all of the weight machines! I was so nervous when I got there, but everyone seems so quiet and polite. Working out just takes all of the stress from the day and just melts it away! Hopefully I will melt away some weight as well! Things have been rough for me at work the past week, but it looks like things are going to get better from this point forward, and much less stressful. Tomorrow I have the task of hooking up our lab machine to our network of computers, and then to the program we use for the clinic. I actually enjoy doing that though, although I will have to stop somewhere on the way to work tomorrow where they have espresso machines and order something with lots of caffeine!

So the “New Kids on the Block” are back together. Gross. No one wants them back together. Can’t we just keep the memories of the 80’s packed away in the closet? I feel bad for them.

Not too long ago I ended up at the eye doctor because my eyesight started to get a bit blurry. I started having a hard time reading anything, and I had a hard time driving at night. The doctor ended up writing me a prescription for eyeglasses. I hate them. They aren’t comfortable at all. I need to go in and see about contacts, but I don’t have the money to throw out for them. I just need to get a bunch of magnifiers!

I have had a fabulous Mother’s Day! This weekend has gone by so fast! I had such a great weekend, and I hate for it to end, but I have to make the money, honey! Sunday night is always the best, since Desperate Housewives comes on! I need to clean up around here before it comes on! By the way, do you know what bpm stands for? I didn’t, until I looked it up! Ha!
