Thanksgiving is in just a few weeks, and then Christmas is just around the corner! How exciting is that? How excited would you be if you knew that you could purchase a holiday gift for your someone special and all proceeds would benefit the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America? Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive, degenerative disorder that attacks the brain’s nerve cells, or neurons, resulting in loss of memory, thinking and language skills, and behavioral changes. Seeking a cure to Alzheimer’s is extremely important, but ensuring quality care for those who suffer from the disease must not be overlooked, so the holidays are a really awesome time to give a donation or buy a gift from the eStore. People with Alzheimer’s disease have specific needs and create special challenges to those who care for them. A person with Alzheimer’s disease need around the clock care. A caregiver needs to be close at all time to help with chores that are just part of every day life. Even something as simple as personal hygiene, may become a chore for a person with Alzheimer’s disease. This disease could affect anyone. It is not something that is part of normal aging, it is a disease. When you go to shop this year for presents to put underneath your tree, don’t forget the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America eStore. You can make someone happy with a wonderful gift, and give to a wonderful cause all at once. Go ahead and start shopping now! Get a jump on the season! The clown was crazy.

November 05th, 2007 | Category: Shopping, Birthday, Christmas, Children

So yesterday we went to a birthday party, there was a clown there. Gavin loved it, but I personally think the clown was crazy. She would sing real loud, and look at the adults all crazy. Maybe next year we will get Gavin a clown or a magician for his birthday, I think he would enjoy it.

On another note, it is time to start saving for Christmas. I hate the financial burden it places on us, but Christmas is still a great time of year. This year we have two children to buy for, which really will not be that much more. I think for Laura we will get her the Laugh and Learn Kitchen, and maybe a few other small things. For Gavin we were thinking about getting him a Playstation 2 to replace his old Playstation 1. He needs something new to play with, he seems tired of all of his old games. I am excited to decorate and put up the tree with Gavin this year, he really enjoyed it last year.

We have decided to keep Gavin home from school today. First we were going to keep him out a few days because they sent home a letter Friday stating that MRSA (staph infection) had been confirmed in his school. But,he was sick all last night, and doesn’t seem any better this morning. About the whole staph infection, I wish the school board would just have a better plan of action. Just telling us that they are taking the steps to clean better isn’t enough. I want a detailed plan of action, and the name of the company that will be going in there and sanitizing the place. My children are just too precious to come into contact with that due to lack of sanitary measures on the schools part. I might be a germ freak, but that is better than being completely nasty. Lol!

Maybe for Christmas.

This is a sponsored post:

Maybe for Christmas I will get my own computer. I always hate taking up “computer time” when I am home. I feel like I am keeping Eric from doing something he needs to do on the computer. I need a laptop, so I can sit on the couch while Eric is on the desktop. I can email him from the couch! How funny would that be? I don’t pay any games or anything like that so I wouldn’t need a super expensive one. Just one that I can blog on, and of course search Ebay!
