Christmas has passed.

December 27th, 2008 | Category: Laura, Gavin, Parenting, Silly, Home, Children, Holiday, Misc.

So Christmas was fun for everyone this year. I had a hard time finding something for Eric, I thought about getting him a MP3 player, but our phones already have MP3 players built into them. I finally decided on a “gaming” back-lit keyboard, and a new blue-tooth headset. He seemed happy with his gifts. We purchased a Robosapien, Kid Tough Fisher Price Digital Camera, Crayola Glow Station, and a bunch of other things for Gavin. For Laura we bought her the Rose Petal Cottage (which she loves the most), a Baby Chou Chou, a stroller for her baby, and a ton of other small toys. She loves that stinking cottage, it is so funny to watch her go in and out. If you go up to it and knock on the door it has, she giggles and opens the door to let you in, and when it is time for you to leave she pushes you out! Ha!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Working….

December 22nd, 2008 | Category: Silly, Health, Work, Holiday, Misc.

Every year we are brought tons of goodies from our clients, including cookies, brownies, cakes, fudge…and the list goes on. I am really going to have to look into getting some green tea fat burner if they don’t stop bringing this stuff in! Just kidding! I don’t eat any of it because I am a bit on the “weird” side. I have a fear of germs, and considering I don’t know exactly where these are coming from, I can’t bring myself to eat them. I can’t bring myself to eat even the things my co-workers bring.

Holiday Shopping!

December 14th, 2008 | Category: Gavin, Shopping, Holiday, Children, Misc.

Are you looking for that special gift? Maybe you are looking for something that is remote controlled, but you are not sure what to get. We recently received one of the coolest rc helicopters in the mail for Gavin, and he absolutely thinks it is the best toy ever! It is so micro, it is one of the smallest and lightest model currently produced, that Gavin is able to fly it in our apartment! This is great, as most that we looked at were just too big to fly in the house, and since we really don’t have a yard to call our own he cannot play with it outside. Gavin has been asking for one of these for almost the past year. It only takes about 20 to 30 min to charge, thank goodness, since Gavin is terribly impatient. The remote has a cable to directly charge the helicopter so no additional plug or wall outlet is needed. The transmitter needs 6 triple A batteries, which seems like a ton to me. I hope I can find battery coupons here in the next few days, all of his other new toys will require batteries too, and the Robosapien we are getting him takes D batteries, and we all know how expensive those are! That is why I am glad this transmitter takes triple A’s, since they seem to run the cheapest.

Detox your body.

November 30th, 2008 | Category: Health, Shopping, Home, Holiday

It would be nice naturally detox your body without having to starve yourself for days at a time. There are plenty of websites to look at orovo detox reviews, which I have been reading those reviews today. Orovo detox uses a antioxidant blend and a detoxifying blend, and it has 31 new ingredients. With all of the fast food that we put into our bodies, it is a very good idea to use some form of detox for your body. Eric and I have talked many times about totally changing our diets. We don’t eat very healthy, and it is starting to show in our health. We need to cut out the salt intake for sure.

Black Friday.

November 29th, 2008 | Category: Silly, Shopping, Holiday, Misc.

So Black Friday was a blast. Eric went with me this year, and it was so nice to hang out with him. Although Target did not have the best deals, like I have seen in the past, they did have this awesome little notebook computer that is super tiny. It would fit into my purse. It didn’t have Windows on it, but I personally would only use it to access the internet. We ended up going to Kohls, and we found a steam cleaner we needed, and Eric ran to get a GPS (that everyone was camping out for) that my dad wanted. We were 3rd in line when they opened, and you could hear everyone behind us talking about how they were there to get the GPS. I think Eric was the first to the location where they had the systems. How funny would it have been if Eric just pulled up a buggy and dumped all of the GPS systems into it. People would have freaked out. I am glad that I split from him to go for the steam cleaner as they only had one! Can you believe that! I was first back there, and I was in a frenzy because I did not think that they had it in stock to begin with. After freaking out I found one stashed, and then four or five people came running up behind me looking for it. Ha! I got the only one! Suckers! I just like the rush, as silly as it is!

My day…in pictures….

November 14th, 2008 | Category: Gavin, Laura, Home, Holiday, Misc.

So today was long, and for the most part fun. Gavin was *SO WILD* today that I made a deal with him. I told him that if he took a nap that when he woke we would put up the Christmas tree (YES, I know it is a bit early….who cares) Laura has been running a fever and has felt pretty bad, so she laid on the couch while we put the tree together, as we listened to Christmas music, which Gavin loved. It is not the best looking tree in the world, but we like it.

Welcome to the holiday season.

November 11th, 2007 | Category: Shopping, Holiday, Christmas, Sponsored

Thanksgiving is in just a few weeks, and then Christmas is just around the corner! How exciting is that? How excited would you be if you knew that you could purchase a holiday gift for your someone special and all proceeds would benefit the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America? Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive, degenerative disorder that attacks the brain’s nerve cells, or neurons, resulting in loss of memory, thinking and language skills, and behavioral changes. Seeking a cure to Alzheimer’s is extremely important, but ensuring quality care for those who suffer from the disease must not be overlooked, so the holidays are a really awesome time to give a donation or buy a gift from the eStore. People with Alzheimer’s disease have specific needs and create special challenges to those who care for them. A person with Alzheimer’s disease need around the clock care. A caregiver needs to be close at all time to help with chores that are just part of every day life. Even something as simple as personal hygiene, may become a chore for a person with Alzheimer’s disease. This disease could affect anyone. It is not something that is part of normal aging, it is a disease. When you go to shop this year for presents to put underneath your tree, don’t forget the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America eStore. You can make someone happy with a wonderful gift, and give to a wonderful cause all at once. Go ahead and start shopping now! Get a jump on the season! They have so many different gift ideas, and so many wonderful products to choose from. Don’t forget that not some but all proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America! Make sure to let others know about this wonderful store!

Spiderman, the original.

September 08th, 2007 | Category: Shopping, Holiday, Children, Halloween

So, Gavin loved the black Spiderman costume that we got him, so we went back and got him the “original” Spiderman costume yesterday. He loves it as well. We had to run to about a million different places so Eric could find some shoes, and Gavin decided to wear his costume, and who were we to stop him? I must say he was a hit with all of the smaller kids. He got a lot of attention. It was pretty funny. We heard lots of “Hey! It is Spiderman!”. Gavin is goofy!

Spiderman

September 07th, 2007 | Category: Shopping, Holiday, Children, Halloween

So last night we all took a trip to Wal-Mart where Gavin found his Halloween costume. They have all of the Halloween stuff out and I love it! Fall is the best time of the year, in my opinion! I love Halloween and Thanksgiving!
