Weeks after he seemed to be over his upper respiratory infection, Chandler’s bloodwork is still showing signs that he is sick. Poor thing. He has been on medicine and all of that. I wanted to get him neutered before the holidays but I am not sure that is going to happen now.
I am almost done buying Christmas gifts for the kids, keep in mind I am not buying them jewelry or anything like that. I have just picked up a few toys here and there. Gavin requested a Robosapien, which he will get. Hopefully he will be happy with it, as it has been all he can think or talk about!

Eric and I have decided that we cannot live without our Blackberrys. We tried, we purchased two Sony Ericsons, and really gave them a try. The keypad was horrible, and having no pearl was a real bummer. I love my blackberry. I just really love the operating system. Eric purchased a used one on Ebay, and had to get it unlocked. The best bet is to always look for unlocked cell phones, so you don’t have to bother with doing it yourself. The first one he purchased he couldn’t get an unlock code for some strange reason, so he had to return that one and get a new one. The seller was really helpful though, and was fast about the exchange. The second one he was able to get unlocked very easily and fast. Thank goodness!
Our car insurance rate hasn’t gone up in the last year, but it hasn’t gone down either. It is not like we have had any wrecks or tickets, and our car isn’t gaining value, so I am not sure why our rate hasn’t gone down any. It is really frustrating. I have been thinking about shopping around, but it is such a pain to have to fill out all of the information that they need just to give you a quote. Maybe I am just lazy, but I really don’t feel like I have the time do shop around.
I always forget to assign categories, and it is just one of my many flaws. I will start now! Ha! I guess as everyone knows, the economy is pretty rough right now, and that is taking a toll on our bank account, and it is pissing me off! It is not like I am out buying Harley parts or anything crazy like that, I am just purchasing food to feed my family, and putting gas in our tiny Corolla. Just buying enough to get by. The prices at the grocery store are inflating at a horrible rate. I just can’t get over it. Back about a year ago I could actually walk into the store and get everything we needed for a week, food wise, and only spend right over a hundred dollars, now two hundred isn’t enough. Everything is going downhill fast, and someone needs to catch it.
So I went ahead and drove 30 min away and purchased this for Gavin for an early birthday present. Of course his sister likes it more than he does.

Eric and I have decided that time-out would be the best discipline for Gavin. We are looking for a “time-out chair” to purchase. I need a seriously heavy child’s chair, so heavy that Gavin cannot pick it up himself, or he will turn it around and watch television! I wish it would be easy to find one that we want, too bad I cannot just pick up a furniture catalog and find one in it!
I have been reading up on some of the top diet pills, but I am not sure I should try any of them. I have never once tried to take any type of diet pill, but I would like to loose some of this “baby” weight that I still have. I just need to find one that will not affect my new blood pressure medicine. I hate being on medicine, feels like I am always looking up what I can use with it and what I cannot use with it, and my doctor is no help, they can’t even return my phone calls!
My husband stays on the internet. Although I must admit I spend a lot of my time surfing the internet, my husband spends way more time on the web than I do. I was thinking about how cool it would be to order him a mobile router. That way he could connect even when he is away from home! I might look into it later this year, as I hope to get him a laptop this coming fall.
I am totally excited, but also worried as well. What if we move and it ends up like where we are. Well, you know, I don’t think anything could be worse than cigarette smoke coming up through the dryer vent, making your 11 month olds clothes smelling like an astray. And hopefully that can’t happen twice. If it did I would think it was a curse. And I am sure that moving to a bottom floor unit will make a huge difference on our electric bill, along with making some energy efficient changes. I plan to replace all the bulbs with energy efficient ones, and adding thermal curtains, and hopefully getting around to weather sealing the doors and windows.
I am excited to get some well deserved time off with my husband. We never see each other really. We don’t have a day off together, and I hate it. We will probably end up so stressed that we end up fighting, but heck, at least it will be time together! LOL!
On another note, we read a few days ago that Gatorade is good to have around in case you get a headache. Have you ever heard of that? You just drink 2 glasses at the on set of a headache, and it is known to stop it instantly. I have not tried this yet, but I get enough headaches to see if it works! I wonder what grape seed extract can do?
So we all know that we need to do better for the environment, right? We need to start now. Less talking, more doing. I have discovered a wonderful place to shop for eco-friendly products. GreenandMore.com offers hundred of eco friendly products, they also help support environmental charities such as Oceana and Healthy Child Healthy World, the company lives their mission and follows green practices on-site, they even have a green learning center with top notch information from sources like the EPA and US Dept. of Energy!
I have been looking over their site, and looking over the green products they offer, and I must say that I am very impressed! Their online store is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They carry a wide range of products, and they even offer tips on saving energy, how to purify your water, and even detoxifying your home!
I found a really cute “Sweet Jane” Cotton Monkey Organic Baby Bedding set that I would really like to get for Laura’s bed. It is organic, which is better for the environment, and better for Laura! It is surprising that they offer such cute baby items!
Overall I must say that I am very impressed with GreenandMore.com. They offer quality products, and are a eco-friendly store, which is good for all of us!
Yes, Laura is almost 1! That makes me so happy, and so sad, all at once. My last baby is growing up. I can’t believe it has been that long! It will be one year on March 8th. It just felt like we just came home from the hospital. This year has gone so fast! Maybe since we are getting older, and since we have two children, that we don’t have time to sit and think about time anymore, it just flies right past us. I found a place to get invitations for her birthday bash, they also carry communion invitations! I am not sure where or when we will have her small birthday bash, since we will be in the process of moving that week. Maybe we will have it at the new place once we are settled in.
So, I ordered some sugar scrub on Ebay. Last night when I came home and ran to the mailbox like a child on Christmas, I discovered that it had not been delivered. Instead there was a little orange card that stated: “Leaking Package. Must be picked up at Post Office.” I am assuming that they are going to make me sign something, or that they are going to recommend I refuse the package. As soon as I got this I emailed the seller on Ebay. He proceeds to tell me that was pretty much my fault for not purchasing the optional insurance, although that would not have helped me seeing that it was leaking from the inside, and it wasn’t damaged in shipping. They are telling me that it was “factory sealed”, and it wasn’t leaking when they packaged it. Even if I had purchased insurance the Post Office couldn’t do anything, because it is not fault of their own. It is the sellers fault for not properly packing the item.
Anyways, not sure why I am going on and on about this, I am just still upset. As of last night I remembered when my sister owned a salon, and carried this one type of salt scrub, and it was by far the best smelling stuff on earth, and it made my skin feel so good during the winter. I sat here forever before I could remember the brand name. I remember it being expensive, but I couldn’t remember the name!
I finally remembered the name of the product, but then I realized that it cost 28.00 just for the scrub, so here I go….back to Ebay. I did find it on Ebay for 19.99, and I just hope that it gets here still in its container! Body scrub with essential oils can cost a ton, that is why I expect it to NOT be leaking out all over the package when it arrives.

So I received my cupcake courier today. Needless to say it wasn’t what I ordered. As I was filled with with joy, opening the box, my joy turned to anger when I saw that it was yellow, and broken. I ordered a pink one, and when it comes to spending forty dollars on something that is plastic, it better be the color I ordered, and it better not be broken! I was so upset! And then I go to check the mail and see that the post office couldn’t deliver my sugar scrub because the package was “leaking”, so now I will have to fight with the person I bought it from on Ebay, and hopefully get my money back. I would rather have the awaken salt scrub instead anyways. So much for all of my rambling, I better just take my nutritional supplements and go to bed!

So yesterday we went to a birthday party, there was a clown there. Gavin loved it, but I personally think the clown was crazy. She would sing real loud, and look at the adults all crazy. Maybe next year we will get Gavin a clown or a magician for his birthday, I think he would enjoy it.
On another note, it is time to start saving for Christmas. I hate the financial burden it places on us, but Christmas is still a great time of year. This year we have two children to buy for, which really will not be that much more. I think for Laura we will get her the Laugh and Learn Kitchen, and maybe a few other small things. For Gavin we were thinking about getting him a Playstation 2 to replace his old Playstation 1. He needs something new to play with, he seems tired of all of his old games. I am excited to decorate and put up the tree with Gavin this year, he really enjoyed it last year.
We have decided to keep Gavin home from school today. First we were going to keep him out a few days because they sent home a letter Friday stating that MRSA (staph infection) had been confirmed in his school. But,he was sick all last night, and doesn’t seem any better this morning. About the whole staph infection, I wish the school board would just have a better plan of action. Just telling us that they are taking the steps to clean better isn’t enough. I want a detailed plan of action, and the name of the company that will be going in there and sanitizing the place. My children are just too precious to come into contact with that due to lack of sanitary measures on the schools part. I might be a germ freak, but that is better than being completely nasty. Lol!
