So we recently adopted another kitty from a shelter in Kentucky. Her name is Trixie, and we believe she might have an eating problem, just kidding. She eats like a hog, but is skinny as a rail. She doesn’t need any weight loss pills for sure! Hopefully since she is at her home now she will gain some much needed weight.
I absolutely love watching the Girls Next Door. It is one of my favorite television shows on right now. They get to vacation to some of the nicest places. On the episode I just watched they got to stay at some of the nicest hotels in las vegas. I am so jealous! The new season starts on October 5th, which is 4 days away from my 27th birthday, so that is a great present to myself! Ha! I love it! I hope I get another WoodWick candle for my birthday! Hint, hint!
When I was searching for Laura’s crib bedding set I couldn’t find any organic sets. I ended up going online and found a site that had tons of crib bedding sets to choose from. When it comes to a newborn, I think having organic crib bedding is a great idea. Buying anything organic these days is a good way to buy. I like that Gerber has now put out an organic line of baby food. Don’t you wish the whole world could live without all of the chemicals and pesticides?
So, someone came into work today talking about these candles that when lit sound like a burning fireplace. I had to have one. I immediately asked where I could get one of these, and I was told Cracker Barrel. Needless to say I just got back from Cracker Barrel, with my new candle. These candles are NOT cheap. They usually run 17.99 for a 10oz. I ended up getting one that was on clearance for 10.50, the “Macintosh” (Apple) sent. It smells wonderful! And I LOVE the way it sounds! I am hoping for my birthday that my hubby will get me the “Fireside” one. I really loved its scent, but I didn’t want to dump 20 bucks into something before I got to try it out. Their quilts were 25% off which made them 75 dollars, and if I had an extra 75 bucks laying around I would have bought one, ha! I adore their quilts, and I sleep every night with the one that my husband bought me from Cracker Barrel a couple of years ago. I wonder if their employees get a discount…..maybe I could get a part time job there, so I can buy all of the cool things they have! =)
So Gavin understands that Christmas is really just around the corner. He has been pointing out things that he would enjoy getting from “Santa”. I have honestly been thinking about how nice it would be if we could afford to get him something like an xbox 360, or a Wii. He has a GameCube, but he seems to get bored of it pretty quick. He has picked out this dinosaur toy out of the Fisher Price catalog that came the other day, and this dinosaur is priced at $160. That is just too much for something that will only keep him entertained for a couple of hours, and being that it is Fisher Price, will probably break within a couple of weeks. We have always had bad luck with things made by Fisher Price. I know that I need to start shopping now, because buying Christmas gifts all at one time can really hurt our budget! Ha!
My brother has given my parents nothing but trouble over these past 7 years or so. He has been arrested time after time, and still has learned nothing. I wish my parents could afford to look into some Vegas vacations, so they could get away from all of my brothers drama. I just wish he would grow up and realize that he is being a big child. He has two children now, and it is way beyond time to grow up.
So I am finished with dinner, finally. I am just hanging out at my desk watching “The Soup”, which I love by the way. I am going to look into getting a humidifier, for this winter. I can’t believe that people have to look into getting Ebac dehumidifiers. That is crazy to me, considering that our house air always feel really dry. But I am assuming they purchase them for basements and such.
I wonder if the city of Boston offers a better pay rate compared to Tennessee. If so I just might pack my stuff up and go looking for Boston jobs! Just kidding! I couldn’t move, I would be so out of my element. And, not to mention I love my job, and I make pretty good money there. I couldn’t imagine not working where I do. Everyone gets along so well, now. There is no drama, no one needs that pathetic stuff going on where they work. I love the animals that come in. And I am actually fostering two kitties there. I am going to bath them and de-worm them tomorrow and put them up for adoption. How fun! Love it!
A ton of issues with past employees could have never existed if my boss would have had someway to do employment screening before he hired them. Not to mention a new employee has not been working out, lets just say she is “lazy”. Everything we ask her to do is followed by her saying “huh”. It makes me want to SCREAM. Ha! I feel bad for her, she has only been there a week, but seriously!
Eric has life insurance on all of us through his job. I am not sure why people would have to go and look for term life insurance quote, although I am not completely sure what “term life” insurance is anyway.
Dinner is in the oven, so I have ran out of time. Hopefully I will post a few more tonight. =) And if you are lucky, maybe I will post a picture of our new daughter to be. Kitty daughter that is.
We are currently waiting to see if our application gets approved to adopt another kitten! We are totally cat people now, there is nothing better! Well even though I have been under a lot of stress lately, I haven’t developed stress acne! Ha! Just a lot of bills, and it feels just like we never see the money we make. Well hopefully I will be able to update every one about the pending adoption tomorrow! Yay!
I have been so stressed out lately. Thank goodness I am not having to look for acne cures or anything. It just seems as if our bills are getting larger, but our paychecks are staying the same. Gas prices are crazy, thank goodness we have a little car. I started back smoking, which is a nasty habit, and I am just spending more money on cigarettes. I am just stressed to my max!
So I am OFF from work today, yippy! I am so excited! It is just one day off, but I am happy to have it to spend with my husband and kids, even though my children are being awful today! Hopefully when I go back to work tomorrow we will order some new office furniture. Stephanie, the other receptionist at work, has really been working on getting the boss man to order us some new desks, which we are in desperate need of. We have all of this new computer equipment, and we are running out of room!
On another note, I almost burnt down our house today. While I was cleaning the bathroom I smelled smoke. I ran into the kitchen where I discovered that the candle had lit the whole paper towel roll on fire. It was horrible. It was my fault though, I had the candle to close. Thank goodness I found it in time!
